2 F.U.E.L. sessions ago, the topic on Jehovah Witnesses was brought up. Due to the lack of time during F.U.E.L. to explain, I have been intending to do an information sharing post on it, but would like to know how interested all of you will be.
Therefore, I am inviting you to submit any questions you may have on the topic or related topics. By the questions, I will know how interested all of you are. So go ahead and email/sms/tagboard if you have any queries.
As we do not have much time during F.U.E.L. to really engage such topics, this blog would be a good place to do so. Also, I really encourage you to ask myself or any leaders questions about your faith. It may be as simple as 'Why do we raise our hands during worship?' or 'What do we do when we answer an altar call?'. Such questions do not make you look stupid, but rather it shows that you are serious about your faith.
So go ahead and start shooting questions!! (: I promise to answer them as quickly as possible.

Happy 20th Post!!
WOW!! This is the 20th post of our blog!!! Okok...maybe it is not that groundbreaking to some of you, but it is to me. Thank you to all who have contributed to the blog. And to all the faithful readers, I thank you too from the bottom of my heart 'cos I know that the posts here are not going unread. So continue to spread this blog around...although it may not have cool pics and stuff (I promise to try!!), but the entries here are painstakingly written and I believe most of them will bless you.
OK...on to the main topic. Found this online :D and it is my new msn display pic.
Hehe...I find the lavatory sign quite amusing. BUT anyway, that's not my focus. Look at the red words instead :p Yup...EXIT. Depending on the usage, the word 'exit' has several meanings. But generally, it means leaving, departing, going away. Nowhere is there any indication of a return, or a coming back. In fact, it even means death.
EXIT.
It means no coming back...no turning back the clock...no chance to undo the regrets.
It means that for some things, there are no second chances.
EXIT. So what will you have done by the time you make your exit?
Haha...ok, this is not going to be a morbid post about dying, or that we should give up everything, be a monk or nun and live a life of sole dedication to God. However, I do believe that wherever we are right now, young or old, we have the capabilities do that little bit more. And how to go about it? Let's start with the way we think what we can do right now.
Some of you may be thinking - "I am so young...I have enough problems on my own...What can I possibly do?...Let the older people do it." Well, I won't try to convince you with my own words. Instead, here are real stories of youths freeing slaves, helping people to walk and blessing orphans. These youths are TEENS!!! They are not doing it for Community Involvement PROGRAMME Points or because they have to, but they are doing it because they really want to make a difference. They are driven by a cause that is larger than themselves. Nothing, not their age, is going to stop them from meeting the needs of the people in the world.
And do you know what is the best part? All of them did it with Jesus in their lives (:
These youths have overcome their fears, stepped out of their comfort zones, and allowed themselves to be used by God to impact the world. Will you too let God use you to impact the world?...by starting in your homes and your classrooms.
'Cos you never know when you will be making your EXIT.

WHY GOD???
Isn't it our hearts' cry every now and then? WHY GOD? God, why is this happening to me? God, why must all these take place? Why, oh why God? Haha, am I sounding poetic? :p Well, these are real cries and real emotions. And you are not alone. And we (yes, me included) wonder why God seems so far away sometimes. But some words that I came across just this week enlightened me, and encouraged me. And I started to see why God let certain things take place in our lives. I hope you will be blessed too (:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Have you recently sustained a one-two punch? Are you wondering why God isn't shielding you from its impact?
Craig Fryar writes: "Becoming more aware of the overall process of being refined and purified provides us with a powerful perspective on our current situation. It also allows us to rise above the noise level of the particulars of the day. Those of us who keep our cool and stay true in the midst of extreme difficulties will influence many around us through our example."
"Asking God for his extended view—for Him to reveal His plans and purposes for our lives—will give us the hope and courage we need to continue pressing into the challenges at hand. It will keep us humble, knowing that we will be sustained by his grace alone."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Basically, what the writer is saying is when we persevere and shine though our difficult situations, we will impact and encourage the people around us. At the same time, God is also shaping and molding us though the situations. So not only are we blessed, but the people around us as well. So look to God friends...'cos God wants to be with you in every situation in your life, not just the bad times, but good times as well.
To end off...here's a verse someone sent me (:
2 Chronicles 16:9a - 'For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those who hearts are fully committed to Him.'
Have a God-encountering weekend and week ahead!!
