Ported over...

LOL...more than 6 months since I last posted :p

I really appreciate all the support and entries that the different ones have given to this blog. A big thank you to all my loyal readers :) But I have decided to change the nature of this blog and have ported it over to http://exodus4-14.blogspot.com

I have retained all the posts from this site, but it will no longer be a buzz group blog and will be a personal blog instead. I am not too sure how long the new site will survive given that blog fad has dwindled somewhat with the popularity of Facebook. But we shall see... :)

Good-bye and God bless...

Rehearsals (Chuyi's FIRST Post)

Heyhey people. :D yay, first time chu's posting.

So how did you find EXIT? I don't know about you, but I can go on watching the production for like...a long time. Haha, that reminds me. Bro Aaron, do you have the video for the last scene? The fighting video? HAHAHA, can send me, 'cos I wanna watch it properly. ;D

Anw, my friends from school heard that I was acting, and one of the smsed me this: Work hard during rehearsals (: and it got me thinking.

Y'know, our lives on earth are kinda like rehearsals? In preparation for how we are gonna act in Heaven? How we behave here, now, in this life, is gonna show when the Judgement Day comes, and this time, there ain't no faking or anything. It's real. You can't possibly say to God, "Eh God, please give me a little more time to prepare? Ahh thank You thank You." Just like how once the actors get on stage, they can't possibly tell the crowd to give them a little more time, or rewind the clock to over their mistakes and play again.

Now is the time when we prepare ourselves for the Kingdom of God, and we've got to 'work hard'. It's never easy leading a Christian life, it's never easy when we have to fight the Spiritual battle, but at the end of the day, when we get to heaven, it's all gonna be worth it. Just like how it was worth it that the EXIT cast had to stay in church till late at night, just to prepare this production, all for y'all. :)

So people, if you haven't been reading God's word, or walking close to Him, start today! Because you'll never know when God's coming back. (:

love!

Questions?

2 F.U.E.L. sessions ago, the topic on Jehovah Witnesses was brought up. Due to the lack of time during F.U.E.L. to explain, I have been intending to do an information sharing post on it, but would like to know how interested all of you will be.

Therefore, I am inviting you to submit any questions you may have on the topic or related topics. By the questions, I will know how interested all of you are. So go ahead and email/sms/tagboard if you have any queries.

As we do not have much time during F.U.E.L. to really engage such topics, this blog would be a good place to do so. Also, I really encourage you to ask myself or any leaders questions about your faith. It may be as simple as 'Why do we raise our hands during worship?' or 'What do we do when we answer an altar call?'. Such questions do not make you look stupid, but rather it shows that you are serious about your faith.

So go ahead and start shooting questions!! (: I promise to answer them as quickly as possible.

Happy 20th Post!!

WOW!! This is the 20th post of our blog!!! Okok...maybe it is not that groundbreaking to some of you, but it is to me. Thank you to all who have contributed to the blog. And to all the faithful readers, I thank you too from the bottom of my heart 'cos I know that the posts here are not going unread. So continue to spread this blog around...although it may not have cool pics and stuff (I promise to try!!), but the entries here are painstakingly written and I believe most of them will bless you.

OK...on to the main topic. Found this online :D and it is my new msn display pic.

Hehe...I find the lavatory sign quite amusing. BUT anyway, that's not my focus. Look at the red words instead :p Yup...EXIT. Depending on the usage, the word 'exit' has several meanings. But generally, it means leaving, departing, going away. Nowhere is there any indication of a return, or a coming back. In fact, it even means death.

EXIT.

It means no coming back...no turning back the clock...no chance to undo the regrets.

It means that for some things, there are no second chances.

EXIT. So what will you have done by the time you make your exit?

Haha...ok, this is not going to be a morbid post about dying, or that we should give up everything, be a monk or nun and live a life of sole dedication to God. However, I do believe that wherever we are right now, young or old, we have the capabilities do that little bit more. And how to go about it? Let's start with the way we think what we can do right now.

Some of you may be thinking - "I am so young...I have enough problems on my own...What can I possibly do?...Let the older people do it." Well, I won't try to convince you with my own words. Instead, here are real stories of youths freeing slaves, helping people to walk and blessing orphans. These youths are TEENS!!! They are not doing it for Community Involvement PROGRAMME Points or because they have to, but they are doing it because they really want to make a difference. They are driven by a cause that is larger than themselves. Nothing, not their age, is going to stop them from meeting the needs of the people in the world.

And do you know what is the best part? All of them did it with Jesus in their lives (:

These youths have overcome their fears, stepped out of their comfort zones, and allowed themselves to be used by God to impact the world. Will you too let God use you to impact the world?...by starting in your homes and your classrooms.

'Cos you never know when you will be making your EXIT.

WHY GOD???

Isn't it our hearts' cry every now and then? WHY GOD? God, why is this happening to me? God, why must all these take place? Why, oh why God? Haha, am I sounding poetic? :p Well, these are real cries and real emotions. And you are not alone. And we (yes, me included) wonder why God seems so far away sometimes. But some words that I came across just this week enlightened me, and encouraged me. And I started to see why God let certain things take place in our lives. I hope you will be blessed too (:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Have you recently sustained a one-two punch? Are you wondering why God isn't shielding you from its impact?

Craig Fryar writes: "Becoming more aware of the overall process of being refined and purified provides us with a powerful perspective on our current situation. It also allows us to rise above the noise level of the particulars of the day. Those of us who keep our cool and stay true in the midst of extreme difficulties will influence many around us through our example."

"Asking God for his extended view—for Him to reveal His plans and purposes for our lives—will give us the hope and courage we need to continue pressing into the challenges at hand. It will keep us humble, knowing that we will be sustained by his grace alone."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Basically, what the writer is saying is when we persevere and shine though our difficult situations, we will impact and encourage the people around us. At the same time, God is also shaping and molding us though the situations. So not only are we blessed, but the people around us as well. So look to God friends...'cos God wants to be with you in every situation in your life, not just the bad times, but good times as well.

To end off...here's a verse someone sent me (:

2 Chronicles 16:9a - 'For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those who hearts are fully committed to Him.'

Have a God-encountering weekend and week ahead!!

Tiffany 's FIRST Post

Heyhey ppl hahha =] This is Tiffany!!! =D First time posting on the blog. Hope you like it...

Not long ago, I felt God calling me to form a prayer group in our school. Our purposes are to let more people know about Him, and for us Christians to grow stronger in Him. We had our first meeting last Tuesday =] At first, we were really excited, and we started out with 6 people. But soon after, two of my friends left, one free-thinker and one Christian, as they found it time consuming as we met everyday. So when we had prayer group again this Friday, there were only three people who were praying =( One other friend was sick.

At first, I felt heartbroken and wanted to give up. I was afraid that our prayer group would break apart as quickly as it was formed. I was really sad about it, but one of my friends (she’s a Catholic) in the prayer group encouraged me by saying, “Hey Tiffany...don’t give up, you’ve just started this group you know. Don’t give up so easily, okay? Even though we are small in numbers, the things that matter are our hearts and faith.” That was what she said to me (:

After hearing my friend, I realised that life is not always perfect. But in everything we do, God is always there to support us and carry us over troubled waters, and rejoice with us during the good times. Sometimes, there may be people who will not support what I do - like the prayer group and stuff, but I believe that God will let us grow in faith and numbers each day, and that we will always trust in Him and Him alone =D

“If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; For doing so you will heap coals of fire on his head, and the Lord will reward you.” -Proverbs 22:5

This means that showing your “enemies” love and kindness will eventually change them into a better person, and maybe even turn them into a good friend!! 'heap coals of fire' I hope to invite not only the people I like to join the prayer group, but also people in my class and other classes who need God in their lives, and also people whom I dislike, to get to know them better, to understand them, and to pray for them. ^^

=) I hope this blog entry won’t be too boring 4 u all...if it is…well, tell me!!! XD I hope those who are reading this and are planning to start a prayer group will not give up hope, for God will surely reign in your prayer group and in your LIVES!!!

Tiffany *wahhahaha

Michelle's FIRST Post

Hey people....

HAH! Decided to change my channel of blogging. Well, that does not mean that I don't blog back at my own personal blog. I hope school is fine for everyone. Any trouble?? HAH! I am having my common test real soon. Anyway, I have been unlucky this whole week and I don't know why. First, I "sprained" my wrist on Monday. Then, I hurt my ankle on Thursday. I think I should change the topic.

This Saturday is the first service after multiplication. F.U.E.L. starts at 3. I have to fly down from school to church. School ends at 2.30 for me, at times it may be earlier. I guess everyone would feel weird as there will lesser people on Saturday.

Well, but there is this one incident that I really wanna share. After HPMG 060708 last sunday, and during my TAWG , God showed me what it would be like in Saturday service. He also told me that I should start stepping out of my comfort zone. God has been encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone. I have been saying that I will do it but I didn't. I regretted not doing so.

At first, I had no idea what to do after multiplication. I didn't know what I should do. Sit there and wait for a miracle to happen? Or start my mission that God has given to me a few months back? I asked God what I should do. I am reluctant to do what God has prepared for me. Just by looking at my class, I have already given up. My class is so hopeless. I see no point in reaching out to them.

Yes, You would have asked me to pray.
And OF COURSE I do pray.
I pray for them day in day out.
But I don't see anything happening.
I prayed each time before i talk to them.
But when I talked about church or about God , they would ask me to shut up.

None of them will or is willing to give me time to talk to them. I guess everyone would have this feeling. But some will choose to give up and some will persevere. And if you would to ask me what is my choice. My mind is blank on what to do. But what can I do? I'm taught to persevere and not give up. So all I can do is to pray and believe that something will happen.

I find some things quite strange. We will think of what to pray to God but we don't even have to think of what to say to our friends. Well my cousin asked me this question. But it is really quite true. When people pray, some will tend to think of what to say and what words to use. But when we are with our friends we can just talk about anything. Why can't people have this kind of attitude all the time? Can people just treat God as one of friends when they pray? Can we not have an awkward feeling when we pray to God? What's the use of feeling awkward? Let's just believe in God and say with our mouths that "YES God, I believe in you".

Well I am posting this because the Christians in my class say that they believe in God but in reality they don't. In the recent prayer meeting we had, my classmate asked this "Why are we asked to spend time with God, and why can't we just spend time with God when we are in church. Well , I mean 2 hours sitting in the service hall is more than enough time spending with God , isn't it? Why must we still find time to spend with God some other days. Must we even spend time with God even though we are very tired after a long day in school and after all those homework?". My respond is "WHAT?!?! you are a christian and you are asking us this question?"

What will your respond be if you were in the same situation? I believe your reaction will be the same as mine. So my answer to her was "Spending time with God should be a commitment in your life. If you ask me why should we do it everyday, let me give you a illustration. If you just met this person, wouldn't you spend time with him/her just to know him better? It is the same with God. In order to know him better, you need to do the same by spending quality time with Him. You wouldn't want your relationship to always be the same and never change right? Is God the number one in your life? Since God is your number one, why do you have to ask me this question in the first place?"

That's my answer.

I think i shall end my post with a verse.

MARK 9:23 - Everything is possible for him who believes.

Waiting For More...

Yay!! Finally, a first post that is not from me. Haha. Thanks Shana for your contribution. I am waiting for more, not just from her, but from everyone as well.

Yup, I have been busy as mentioned. But things have somewhat settled down now. I had a very interesting conversation during lunch today with 2 of my schoolmates. Give me some time to put my thoughts in words. But it is about our value system and how it determines the kind of people we are. It is quite shocking how much wrong some people do and yet not realise it.

A short post...cos I am going for supper with a very dear friend whom I have not seen in a while. Here's a video someone linked in the IGNYTE blog. See ya all this Saturday!! Remember the new F.U.E.L. timing at 3pm...

Shana's FIRST Post =)

Hey MUSTARDSEEDS ;)

How have all of you been? School started not too long ago but I guess some of us are already waiting for the next school hols to come. Yea? Bro Aaron has been busy, so I thought I would just blog about something...let's see...okay I think everybody has done their NAPFA already. Haha I somehow am the only one out of many people in my school enjoy doing NAPFA ;P It's fun okay! I like I like. Hehe

Well, but I also do understand that many do not enjoy that.
Recently it was the retest for 2.4km and being the nice me ;P I decided to accompany my friend to run. She has already ran it twice and this was her third time.

Before we ran I told her this time WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT! Trying to encourage her and she just stared. Fine fine...haha
Anyways, we were running and running and sometimes I did have to drag her to run. She just didn't want to push herself. Running and trying to get her to be motivated, trying to talk her into a more positive mind. Yea, then when we ran past the timer 15 minutes plus and she still had 4 rounds? Then she stopped.

Why should I carry on anymore? I am going to fail anyway. So what if I run? I won't be able to make it. I will still fail anyway, so why waste my energy?

At that point I just smiled and asked her to PLEASE carry on.

I think in life, many times when we are faced with challenges, we just
LOOK IT IN THE EYE AND SAY
you got to be joking.

But that is not what we are made of. In the Bible,
it says in Romans 8:37 "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."
What else? in Luke 10:19 "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you."

God has given us the authority to look things in the eyes and FACE IT. All things are possible with God on our side. For WE BOTH have the authority.

Sometimes, the same problem happens ALL OVER AGAIN. The exact same thing repeating itself ALL OVER AGAIN. Be it family or friends. And we are sick and tired of it. Or maybe even afraid of the hurt it has caused us? (just like my friend who ran 2.4 twice already but still failed)

The power of the enemy -> lies

He says we can never make it through and why go face it in the first place? We aren't good enough look back at our past and look at the number of times we have failed to do anything or to improve the situation.

LIES LIES LIES LIES LIES LIES THEY ARE ALL LIES trying to stop us from pushing our limits to be even more we can be or even being who we are! Sometimes why we like to stay in our comfort zone because we THINK we are going to just ruin/screw it AGAIN. Or we are not good enough.

But hear this: we are all children of God, made to bring glory to his name. of course, many times we fail but we have to believe and have faith. To persevere to pray on in our situations. (keep running) It may be the worse of the worse, we think we cannot take it anymore, but know that God is always by our side seeing us through or have placed ppl around us to do so. and whatever the turn out maybe, God still loves us very much ;)

Haha I know that this has nothing to do with multiplication or anything but was kind of "inspired" to write this. Our friends need someone like God to see them through their struggles. Let's meet their needs by sharing God's love and bring them back to the Father.

;DD keep warring for our friends' lives! YAY ;)

PS: please share your thoughts on this post on the tagboard or write another post kayy? ;) haha...

THE IGNYTE EVENT

Sigh.

Time really flies, doesn't it? Without realising it, in 3 days, it will be 1 month since my last post. Really apologise to those of you who visit often, hoping that I would have made a new post. I started one a few weeks back, but never had the time to go about completing it. Maybe I will finish it some day?

Anyway for now...it is all hands for the big event this Sunday!! It is THE event on IGNYTE's calendar. Although this is the first time that I am not part of the committee, but somehow I am still involved, as part of the video team. Those who were around at last Saturday's service would have seen me on the publicity video. I am so involved that I had to double up for 2 roles in the same "advertisement" :P Haha, that one was reeeeally hilarious. We had a lot of fun shooting it. By the way, I was shooting the ad, featuring Sis Yin Ting. Hmm...so I guess this makes me a director-script writer-camera man-actor. Haha...

Right now I am supposed to be preparing for a test tomorrow. But my mind is still thinking of the last video that I am preparing for this Sunday. So came here to blog a bit to take things off my mind. Hope you guys are doing well. Catch up with all of you more after 06.07.08. Ciao!
